DC Health Investment Plan (DC-HIP)

District contracts with Greater Southeast Community Hospital Corporation (GSCHC). District contracts with the DC Health Investment Corporation (formerly the PBC).
GSCHC serves as primary contractor and monitors the performance of the subcontractors. DCHIC serves as primary contractor and monitors the performance of the subcontractors.

Chartered Health Plan (CHP) administers the "insurance" aspect of the program, including verification of enrollment, issuance of card and program information, claims processing. CHP also provides access to its physician network. Greater Southeast Community Hospital (GSE) provides inpatient, trauma, and specialty clinic services. DC General Hospital (DCGH) would provide in inpatient, trauma, and specialty clinic services, and pharmaceuticals.
Children's Hospital provides pediatric services and operates the school health program. DCGH, Children's Hospital, or another sub-contractor could provide pediatric services, and operate the school health program.
George Washington University provides additional trauma services. George Washington University or another sub-contractor could provide additional trauma services.
Unity Healthcare manages the public health clinics. May also administer the pharmaceutical program. Unity Healthcare or another subcontractor could manage the public health clinics.
Non-Profit Clinic Consortium (NPCC) could provide additional clinic sites.
