Mayor A PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA To declare the existence of an emergency with respect to the need to approve a salary adjustment for the Director of Human Services. RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, That this resolution may be cited as the "Director of Human Services Salary Adjustment Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2001 ". Sec. 2. In order to attract a seasoned manager willing and able to take on the significant challenges of managing the Department of Human Services, the Mayor recommends that effective February 20, 2001, the rate of basic pay for the Director of Human Services be set at $150,000 per annum. Sec. 3. The Council of the District of Columbia determines that the circumstances enumerated in section 2 constitute emergency circumstances making it necessary that the Director of Human Services Salary Adjustment Emergency Approval Resolution of 2001 be adopted after a single reading. Sec. 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately. |
