SUBJECT: Delegation of Authority Pursuant to D.C. Official Code §1-204.22(6) (2001) and 1-329.01 (2001) concerning girfts and donations to support the Citizen Summit II.

ORIGINATING AGENCY: Office of the Mayor

By virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the District of Columbia under §422(6) of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act of 1973, as amended, Pul.L. 93-198, 87 Stat. 790, D.C. Official Code §1-204.22(6) (2001) and §118 of the District of Columbia Appropriations Act, 2001, approved November 22, 2000, Pub. L. 106-522, 114 Stat. 2453 (and any subsequent equivalent successor provision), as codified in D.C. Official Code §1-329.01 (2001), it is hereby ORDERED that: 

1. The authority to solicit, receive, and use gifts and donations to support the Citizen Summit II shall be delegated to the Chief of Staff of the Executive Office of the Mayor who is hereby authorized to make a further delegation, in writing, to specific subordinates under his jurisdiction. 
2. All monetary donations shall be directed to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer for deposit in an appropriate account. 
3. The Chief of Staff shall ensure that accurate and detailed records of the acceptance and use of all gifts and donations are maintained and available for both audit and public inspection. 

EFFECTIVE DATE: The Order shall become effective immediately.
