STATUS OF LEGISLATION IN PARTNER
JURISDICTIONS
- Virginia - Unanimously passed and signed into
law April 9. (Chapter 56, Title 2.1 of the Code of Virginia). Becomes
effective July 1, 2001.
- Maryland - Overwhelmingly passed and signed
into law April 10. (Chapters 8 & 9 of the 2001 Maryland Laws).
Becomes effective July 1, 2001
- Baltimore - Vote on 3rd
Reader and Final Passage tomorrow, May
31. Unanimous approval anticipated.
