Brown announced today the following committee assignments for Council Period 19 to begin on January 3, 2011. “The Council of the District of Columbia is among the most progressive and forward thinking bodies in the country. I am proud of the work we have done, and am confident that my choices to head the committees for the next legislative period will proceed with the business of government in the most efficient and transparent way possible, and will continue to earn an overwhelming approval rating by District residents,” said Brown. on Public Works and Transportation All committee assignments are subject to the approval of the full Council, and will be submitted by Chairman-Elect Brown for a full vote on January 3, 2011. Chairman-Elect Brown will soon release his appoints to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and the Metropolitan Council of Governments boards. |
