  1. Pursuant to D.C. Code §§1-1102.04 and 1-1102.06, you must file a Statement of Organization and a Verified Statement of Contributions within 10 days of organization with the D.C. Office of Campaign Finance (OCF) for your petition form to be approved for circulation. OCF is located at 2000 14th Street, NW, Suite 400. Their phone number is 671-0550.
  2. Failure to file the verified statement of contributions within 10 days of organization will result in rejection of your measure before petitions are issued.
  3. You must be present at the hearing where the Board considers your petition form for approval. Under D.C. law, you must formally adopt the petition form as your own. Do not a representative [sic].

STATEMENT OF REASONS TO RECALL

NOTICE OF INTENT TO RECALL

We, the petitioners, attest that we are duly registered voters in the District of Columbia; do hereby expect the execution of the discharge of said duties under "Oath of Office" by of the District of Columbia. Mayor Vincent Gray willfully and knowingly accepted the responsibilities to enact this sworn, first law of the United States, enacted in the first session of the first Congress on July 1, 1789 was statue 1, chapter 1,: an act to regulate the time and manner. This oath is more than a mere formality. It provides the foundation for leadership decisions that all individuals, take before assuming and fulfilling the duties of any elected office. An other is a solemn appeal to God to witness the truth of the statement or the sincerity of a promise coupled with an imprecation of divine judgment in the event of falsehood or beach of obligation.

We are recalling Mayor Vincent Gray for the stated reason above including, the multiple times that the National and social media outlets, highlighting their breach of office through unethical behavior as an elected official of the District of Columbia.


RESPONSE TO RECALL STATEMENT

As mayor, Vincent C. Gray has steadfastly remained focused on making progress in key priority areas:

CREATING JOBS AND GROWING OUR ECONOMY

  • Putting people back to work through the innovative "One City — One Hire" initiative
  • Promoting development projects to create jobs and expand the tax base

PROVIDING A QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ALL

  • Continuing education reform
  • Leading the nation in providing universal pre-K
  • Renovating and modernizing our public schools

PROTECTING THE DISTRICT'S FISCAL STABILITY

  • Balancing the budget in a tough economy and rebuilding our rainy day fund
  • Increasing the number of police officers and re-opening the Police Academy and Fire and Emergency Medical Services Academy
  • Building trust between public safety officials and immigrant communities to reduce crime

MOVING THE DISTRICT FORWARD

  • Fighting for District voting rights and budget autonomy
  • Bringing our taxi cab system into the 21st century
  • Launching the Sustainable DC initiative and pledging to make DC the most sustainable city in the world
