CITIZENS COMMITTEE FOR THE D.C. VIDEO LOTTERY TERMINAL INITIATIVE, Petitioner, BEFORE: Farrell and Ruiz, Associate Judges, and Kern, Senior Judge. ORDEROn consideration of the petition for review, it is ORDERED, sua sponte, that this case is hereby expedited. It is FURTHER ORDERED that the respondent shall transmit either the original record or one certified copy thereof to this court no later than August 18, 2004. See D.C. App. R. 16-17. Respondent shall also transmit one copy of the record on computer disk that same day. It is FURTHER ORDERED that the petitioner's brief and appendix shall be filed no later than August 18, 2004; the respondent's and any intervenors' briefs shall be filed no later than August 25, 2004; and the petitioner's reply brief, if any, shall be filed no later than August 27, 2004. The parties are also directed to hand serve copies of all pleadings on each other. It is FURTHER ORDERED that this case shall be placed on the regular calendar of September 8, 2004, at 9:30 a.m. The parties are directed to appear at the courtroom on the 6th floor no later than 9:15 a.m. that morning. As, all dates have been set to enable the court to schedule this case on this calendar, it is FURTHER ORDERED that any request for extension of time will be looked upon with extreme disfavor and will be granted only upon a showing of good cause.
